PRE-APPOINTMENT

- Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, Glycolic Acids, Retinol, Exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

- Any waxing/shaping should be done at least 2 days before.

- If you tint your brows, please do so at least 1 week prior to your appointment.

- Botox and/or Fillers should be done 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after the procedure.

- Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or take and blood thinners (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin) 48 hours before your procedure. This will cause excess bleeding and may effect your results.

- We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, or moles in/around the brow area.

- Please come fresh faced with no makeup on. If you typically draw your brows on and would like that specific shape you may come with your brows drawn on, however if you are open to suggestions I am happy to help design a custom brow to personally suit you.

EYEBROW AFTER CARE

Following your after care is crucial. It is very important that you follow these instructions for the full 10 day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee your results.

- Wet a q-tip with warm water and gently wash your brows, morning and night for 7-10 days or until the flaking has stopped. Do not scrub the pigmented area whatsoever.

- Using a very small amount, apply the ointment provided to your brows on Day 5-7, morning and night with clean fingers.

- Keep the area clean at all times

- No picking, itching, scratching or rubbing. Keep touching the area to a minimum at all times.

WHAT TO EXPECT

- Do not expect your brow tattoo to heal perfectly after the first session. This can be a two step process, it takes time! Be patient during your 10 day healing process. Your brows will change and appear different day to day.

- Immediately after your procedure your brows will appear darker and more defined, this will last up to 2 weeks. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear and it may look wet and painted on.

- Around day 4-5 you will experience flaking and your brows may look dry. Do not pick at your brows, let any dryness/flakes fall off naturally. If any flakes get picked off prematurely, missing hair strokes will result and cause patchy brows which can lead to scarring.

- It is common for your brows to appear quite warm in color while healing. Don't worry, this is normal and they will cool down once fully healed.

- Color will fade about 30-40% after full 6 week period

- Your brow tattoo will take up to 6 weeks to fully heal. When the flaking comes off the hair strokes may seem faint. This is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the strokes will become more clear. Color will continue to change on a daily basis until the fully healed 6-week mark.

- Not everyones hair strokes can heal clean and crisp. Hair strokes on oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while on drier skin they will heal more crisp and defined. Also for those who bleed more may need more touch ups as the blood pushes out the pigment while we tattoo.

WHAT NOT TO DO

- Do not expose your brows to the sun during the healing process, wear a hat!. UV rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo. Following the first 10 days SPF is important for the longevity of your brows.

- Do not sweat excessively for 10 days. Sweat contains salt which can infect and/or prematurely fade your brow tattoo. Salt in the sweat may also alter the color of your tattoo. Moderate exercise is fine.

- Do not use any makeup, creams, exfoliants on your brows for 10 days.

- Do not go into sauna's, pools, or steam rooms for 10 days.

- Do not get massages or facials during the healing process.

- Do not go tanning. If you must, cover your brow tattoo as UV can alter the color of your tattoo

- Do not use exfoliants, retinol, or AHA's (alpha-hydroxy acids) on the brow area. It will fade your brows prematurely.

- Do not use laser light therapy on your brows.

TOUCH UPS

Allow your brows a minimum of 6 weeks to heal before booking a touch up.

- A '6-week' touch up must be done within 6 weeks of initial appointment. If you wait longer than this timeframe additional charges may apply.

- The first session is used to build shape and gain symmetry, the second session is used to perfect the brows and build density where needed.

- This can be a 2 (sometimes 3) step process. Do not expect your brows to be perfect after 1 session, you may need multiple sessions to achieve your desired result.

- Permanent makeup will not look as bold or sharp on dark skin/oily skin compared to lighter/dryer skin type clients.

LONG TERM CARE

There is no guarantee of results as everyone's result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle, initial 10 day and longterm care of your brow tattoo.

- Use SPF 50 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the color of your tattoo.

- Do not use chemical exfoliants on your brows.

- Do not laser your brow area (IPL etc.) Some lasers may change the color of your tattoo.

- As the tattoo fades the strokes will become fainter and less defined.

- Touch ups are done on average every 12-24 months to maintain your brow tattoo.

- If you would like to maintain a very natural look with Microblading, it is recommended to wait longer between touch ups to a point when they are very faded. Touching up your brows more often will result in a bolder look.
